From the Choupals of villages to the lanes of cities, only one question is going around, who will form the next Government in the StateIJ The BJP or the Congress. Both these parties are claiming of forming the Government, but people have no faith on their utterances. The villagers, by ringing their relatives and friends in the cities, are trying to know that who will be getting the majority.
People are more enthusiastic to know the results of the election, because of the long duration of voting and counting of votes. People in villages, cities, offices, paan kiosks, gardens and houses used to discuss about the fate of candidates and the next government. In the state capital also, from tehsil offices to secretariat and in the offices of political parties, calculations are on about the next Government.
People are speculative and come to their own conclusion based on the news published in newspapers and asking their friends that who will form the third Government in the State and whether the BJP or the Congress would get clear majority or they have to make alliance with independence or other parties.
The ruling BJP had 49 seats in the last Assembly. People in the party surmise to win 48 to 57 seats this time also. Similarly, the Congress also assumes that it would get more than 50 seats.
People also consider that if both the BJP and the Congress would not get clear majority and they need one or two seats, then the Congress would form the Government, as the CPI, the BSP and independent candidates, in spite of BJP, would support the Congress. These calculations will continue untill December 7.
