To mark two years of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel’s government, a first of its kind virtual ‘marathon race’ in Chhattisgarh will be held on December 13.
As many as 70,000 participants have been registered online from across the state while 4,200 participants have been registered from Raipur district, a press release said on Saturday.
The participants will not gather in a group anywhere but will run in a house, garden, ground, road or any safe place following social distancing and upload their video or photo of the race of ‘a few seconds’ from 6 am to 11 am with the hashtag #runwithchhattisgarh on Facebook and Twitter, said the release.
Raipur District Sports Officer distributed T-shirts to the contestants taking part in the virtual race. Similarly, T-shirts were distributed in the development blocks in other districts, the release said.
