Under the guidance of District Collector S Prakash, the district administration has initiated steps for linking village panchayats in Chhattisgarh’s Koriya district with e-Governance facility.
Objective of the move is to ensure transparency and accountability in administration and provide government service to public on time.
As per information received, every village panchayat in the district will soon be provided with internet facility through optical fibre cables. In the first phase of the drive, Manendragarh block of the district will be linked with internet through optical fibre cable.
Once village panchayats will be linked with internet facility, it would provide momentum to works pertaining to payment of Social Security Pension and Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), added officials.
