Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Saturday said that an urban livelihood centre will be set up to boost job opportunities. It will help in necessary infrastructure and beautification work under the Municipal Corporation of Risali.
He was addressing an event where newly elected office bearers of the Risai municipal body took charge of office.
Assuring all assistance from the state government, the Chief Minister said the rapid development of the municipality would be a huge challenge for the newly elected Mayor, Chairman and councilors.
“Most of these councilors have been elected for the first time. They are filled with enthusiasm. But a few are experienced, so we hope that Risali will achieve new heights of development,” he said.
He added that the state government was making all possible efforts to ensure availability of basic facilities including education, health and drinking water in urban areas.
Already, the urban health schemes are being implemented. Through Swami Atmanand English Medium School, a solid foundation was being laid in the field of education.
