Bharatiya Janata Party candidate for the post of Mayor from Raipur city, Sachidanand Upasne will be filing his nomination papers on Monday.
Upasane’s candidature was decided by the senior party leadership among a host of prominent names such as Sanjay Srivastava, Subhash Tiwari, Praful Vishwakarma and Sunil Soni.During 2013 Assembly polls, the party had allocated ticket to Srichand Sundrani instead of him.Having denied ticket to him during the Assembly polls, the party had once again reposed faith in his leadership and has fielded him as its Mayoral candidate from Raipur city.
