Chief Minister Raman Singh on Friday said that ultra-modern community halls with all facilities will be built in all the urban bodies’ limits of the State soon.
He was speaking at a meeting of the people's representatives of urban local bodies here.
The Chief Minister on the occasion also felicitated six urban bodies for being declared ‘Open Defecation-Free’. They are Nagar Panchayat Patan, Sargaon, lakhanpur and Kurud, Nagarpalika Balrampur and Municipal Corporation Ambikapur.
Singh while lauding the efforts of the local officials mentioned that if the same momentum is maintained then all the 168 urban bodies will be declared ‘Swachh’ in another six months.
The Chief Minister said that Rs 3 crore subsidy will be provided for marriage halls in municipal corporation limits, Rs 1.5 crore for halls in Nagar Pallika regions and Rs 75 lakh for community halls in Nagar Panchayats limits.
