Two Naxalites, including one wanted for attacking a police party, were arrested in separate operations by security forces in Chhattisgarh's Sukma district, police said on Monday.

A police officer identified them as Madvi Dula (40) and Doim alias Deva (35).

Madvi Dula, a resident of Kolaiguda village in Bhejji police station limits, was arrested by a joint team of the Special Task Force (STF) and District Reserve Group (DRG) from a forested patch near Veerabhatti jungle.

He was wanted for targeting security forces by triggering an improvised explosive device (IED) last year in the Bhejji-Elaramguda village, an officer said.

Likewise, a team from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), STF, DRG and police caught Deva after launching an operation from the Gadiras police station. He was nabbed from Gadempara in Maroki village.

Deva was a member of the Maoist outfit DKAMS (Dandakaranya Kisan Adivasi Majdur Sangh) and was wanted for looting election material during the 2015 Panchayat election, police said.
