Two children on Tuesday afternoon drowned in a pit filled with rainwater at a construction site in Chhattisgarh capital.
The incident took place at around 3 pm when Mohmmad Awesh (10) and Abeed Kahtri (12) were taking a bath in a six feet deep pit in Lakhe Nagar area, police officer Jitendra Kumar Asaiya told The Pioneer.
After being alerted, the police rushed the boys to a hospital where doctors declared one of the children brought dead.
The other boy died during treatment.
