Chhattisgarh Police on Thursday seized 15 kg of cannabis valued at Rs 75,000 and arrested two persons in Raigarh district after they had brought the drugs from Odisha.
Raigarh Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena told The Pioneer over telephone that Tarachand Jaiswal and Tularam Dadsena have been taken into custody. Jaiswal hails from Raigarh and Dadsena from Mahasamund district.
Acting on a tip, police nabbed them at Birnipali barrier while riding a bike without registration number. The two told the police that they brought the contraband from Odisha for distribution in Chhattisgarh, the officer said.
