A court has sentenced two persons to 14 years in jail for trafficking three minor girls in Raipur, a government lawyer said on Saturday.
Additional Public Prosecutor Vijay Lanje said that 12th Additional Sessions Judge Leeladhar Sai Yadav on Friday found Mahesh Gautam and Lalita Dewarin guilty.
In September 2018, Gautam and Dewarin told the victims’ families that the girls would earn money from dance but instead sold them.
In December, the police rescued the three from Bihar.
