An Executive Engineer and an Assistant Engineer (Electricity) of Chhattisgarh Housing Board (CGHB) have been suspended for allegedly being involved in grave irregularities a housing project.
A Contractor has also been blacklisted by CGHB, an official press release stated here on Sunday. CGHB Commissioner Sanjay Shukla suspended Executive Engineer (EE) currently posted in Raigarh, PC Agrawal and Assistant Engineer (AE) KK Kashyap.
The EE while posted as Assistant Engineer, Durg, was accused of not properly monitoring the construction quality of 84 EWS houses constructed over 32.45 acres of land under self-finance scheme at industrial area in Bhilai.
He was also accused of not getting done quality construction work, making payment of Rs45.03 lakh to the contractor and issuing completion certificate for incomplete works.
likewise, Assistant Engineer, KK Kashyap during his posting in Durg has been accused of making payment of Rs1.63 lakh to the Contractor without getting houses electrified in the same project.
During the tenure of suspension, both the officials would remain attached with the Technical Department at CGHB headquarters in Raipur.
Further A-3 Group Contractor M/s Amit Constructions, Durg, has been blacklisted for alleged inferior construction quality.
