Two girls from Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon district have been included in India's under-16 basketball team. They will participate in the Asian Championships in Jordan from June 24 to 30.
Prarthana Salve and Moni Adla are undergoing training at the Sports Authority of India's (SAI) Rajnandgaon Training Centre.
They will represent the country at the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) Asia Under-16 Basketball Championship in Amman, an official communication said.
Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel and Sports Minister Umesh Patel have congratulated both the players.
Both players were selected on the basis of their performance in the Junior National Basketball Championship at Indore in January. They participated in the Indian team's camp in Bengaluru in preparation for the championship.
