The Table Tennis Federation of India (TTFI) has rejected allegations levelled against a Table-Tennis Coach and female player of Chhattisgarh following the surfacing of a controversial video. Chhattisgarh Table Tennis Association President Sharad Shukla and Working Secretary Vinay Baiswade on behalf of the TTFI, said that the Apex Table Tennis body has cleared the allegations levelled against the players after a thorough investigation, including questioning of the players, coach, parents and the complainant over the issue.
There was nothing objectionable in the video showing the coach dragging one of the female players in a hotel during their stay in Andhra Pradesh for a national event, the duo stated. Dr Anil Khakharia’s allegations on the State Tennis body were also rejected by the TTFI, they informed. However, TTFI has strictly directed all the State-level Table Tennis bodies to send Female Coach/Manager with women’s team compulsorily, the duo added.
