The sleuths of Central Crime Branch (CCB) nabbed a middle-aged truck driver on criminal charges and seized an iron-laden truck in State capital on Saturday, police said.
Following a complaint that an iron-laden truck from Mandirhasaud-based Monet Industries suspicious went missing before reaching its destination (Ahmedabad), CCB personnel swung into action in search the missing truck, said CCB Inspector Sanjay Singh.
Based on specific inputs about location of truck and the accused driver identified as Heeralal Tiwari (40) of Madhya Pradesh, a team was dispatched there and Tiwari was apprehended.
CCB sleuths have recovered a truck and 16 tonne iron from his possession whose estimated market value is Rs18 lakh.
