A training programme was organised for a total of 100 ‘Master Trainers’ in the presence of District Electoral Officer and Collector Ambalgan P at the conference room of the District Panchayat office here on Sunday.
During the training session, information was provided to the trainers regarding voting through EVMs, operation of EVMs, seating arrangements at the polling centres, maintaining diary of the Presiding Officer, Mock Poll, Challenge Vote and Tender Vote.
The Collector told the Master trainers that all the officers and employees on poll duty must also cast their vote.He said that the voter list had been pasted at the concerned polling centres in the district to enable them verify their names in the list and inform the officials if there is any discrepancy by applying through ‘Form 6’.
The Collector said that those officials and employees whose names are in the voter list in other districts can apply for voting through postal ballot.He also informed that two mobile numbers of the officials on duty would be registered from every polling centre.
