To encourage the youth of State to participate in Adventure Tourism, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board (CTB) is organising ‘Bicycle Tourism’ event from June 30 to July 1, 2018.
CTB had earlier organised similar events like ‘Tour-De-Raipur’, Tour-De-Chhattisgarh, and ‘Tour-de-Sarodhadadar’.
The ‘Tourism on Wheels’ scheduled from June 30 to July 1 will cover a distance of 90 kilometres that is from Raipur to Dhamtari to Gangrel through bicycle riding. The event is being jointly organised by CTB and Tour De Raipur, Bicycle Club.
The Bicycle riders would be flagged off on June 30 at 6.00 am at Marine Drive, Telibandha, Raipur.
The riders would take the route of old Dhamtari road to Bardiha lake View Tourist Cottage, Gangrel. They would then participate in various water sports activities and halt during the night.
The main aim of the event is to promote bicycle tourism among the youth along with conservation of natural resources.
It would also help to promote the use of bicycles.
Those interested to participate in the event can register with Chhattisgarh Tourism Board, Tourism Information Centre at Mahant Ghasidas Museum, Raipur ‘Garh Hatri’ or with the Tour De Raipur, Bicycle Club.
