Taking stern action against three Engineers who were facing corruption charges, the State Water Resources Department (WRD) issued orders for suspension of their services on Wednesday.
As per official information, the officials were allegedly found involved in financial irregularities during construction of Rehar Anicut in Surajpur district. The suspended engineers include the then Executive Engineer WRD Surajpur division GP Pandey, In-charge SDO Sub-division Surajpur SK Tiwari and Deputy Engineer WED Sub-division Surajpur SR Chaturvedi. They have been attached with the Office of Chief Engineer WRD Bilaspur, an official statement issued here stated. Notably, a few days back, WRD had suspended six of its officers including In-charge Chief Engineer BD Vaishnav, EE M Kujur who had came under the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) net.
