Though Taj Mahal is a tomb, it is beautiful”, said renowned playback singer of Bollywood Sukhwinder commenting on its controversy.
He was in the city on Wednesday to perform at the ‘Rajyotsava 2017’ celebrations in Naya Raipur.
Speaking to media persons during his visit, Sukhwinder expressed his apprehension that the growth of natural singing was badly affected because of advancement in technique in the music arena.
“The technique has now superseded the talent”, he said.
Commenting on his musical journey, the noted singer said he started his career right from his childhood. Asserting that music in his life was like a ‘blessing’ he said he never felt insecure in his entire career.
He also advocated for meditation and yoga to remain fit and said that he was also a good sports person when he was young.
“Once upon a time I used to jog 12 kilometres”, he said.
When someone asks someone’s age it is very embarrassing, he said. Instead it is more important as how you have lived your life till now, he said.
