Feeling obliged by getting third gender status during the BJP regime in Chhattisgarh, a delegation of third gender people approached BJP State Headquarters here on Wednesday and offered to campaign for BJP candidates in the forthcoming civic body polls.
The delegation met BJP State General Secretary (Organisation) Rampratap Singh at Kushabhau Thakre premises and said that they would campaign for BJP candidates in all 70 wards where they will be called by the party.They said that they have formed an organisation named ‘Mitwa’ with Vidya Rajput as State president and Shaily Raee as District President.
It is during the BJP we have got the status of third gender and the transgender people will give its full support to BJP candidates, they said.They demanded ticket for Preetam Mahandn from Gurugovind Singh ward number 34 and promised to give full support in the campaign. The delegation included Yasmin, Nisha, Kareem Bai, Shaily Raee, Vidya Rajput, Rama Bai, Sonu and Jyoti.
