Third Front looking for possibility of ties with Jogi

Third Front will play important role in formation of Government after the ensuing poll in Chhattisgarh as in the present scenario without support of Third Front no Government could be formed, claimed former MlA of Communist Party of India and Adiwasi Mahasabha leader Manish Kunjam.

Talking with media persons here on Tuesday Kunjam said that Third Front , of which his party is also an important constituent, is in contact of former chief Minister Ajit Jogi as well as Congress party. He expressed the hope that this time the State would see a political change. As far as the ensuing Assembly poll is concerned, the CPI as well as the Third Front will declare first least of its candidates in September, Kunjam added.

Notably, seeing the defiant mood of Ajit Jogi, the Third Front is searching out for possibility of its alliance with the former chief Minister in case he quits the Congress. Kunjam dropped the hint that if Jogi quits Congress that would be good in the interest of Chhattisgarh as well as Tribal section of the State.

According to Kunjam if Jogi remains in Congress and pursue his fight, that would be a comfortable situation for BJP to return to power. Therefore, Jogi should come out of Congress and continue his fight against the misdeeds of the Government, Kunjam added. To a question regarding his meeting with Jogi, Kunjam said it was a courtesy call and no political meaning should be attached to it. He also ruled out any impact on poll outcome of Bastar if Kamal Chandra Bhanjdev, scion of Bastar royal family, joins Bharatiya Janata Party.

Kunjam said that this time his party is considering to field women candidates also in the ensuing Assembly election, first list for which should be announced by September 4-5.
