While inaugurating the Jankalyan Mela organised to mark the completion of one year of the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre, Chandarkar said that the Central as well as State Government have launched various schemes for every section of the society, keeping in mind every aspect.
The Swatchch Bharat Abhiyaan, Beema Yojana and Skill Development Scheme, all have been launched for the welfare of people, he said. Member of Parliament Chandulal Sahu urged people to take benefits of the Suraksha Beema Yojana and Jeevan Jyoti Yojana.
Collector Bhim Singh expressed pleasure that the district is the leading one in the State in terms of high number of insured people and for which he gave credit to the people, people’s representatives apart from officials and employees. People were also apprised of different schemes through ‘Kala-Jattha’ and folk dance during the Mela.
As many as 73 labourers from organised and unorganised sectors were given cheques amounting to Rs8.54 lakh. Prominent among those who were present at the function were Mayor Archana Choubey, Municipal Corporation Chairman Rajendra Sharma, District Panchayat CEO PS Elma and others.
