In view of the spread of jaundice in certain pockets of Raipur city, Collector P Dayanand has issued instructions for the prevention of contagious and water-borne diseases during the summer season in the district.
On the instructions of the Collector, joint teams of the Municipal Corporation, the Health, the Public Health Engineering Department (PHE) and administrative officers have visited the densely populated areas of the city and started testing the purity of drinking water and checking of pipelines and have launched cleanliness drive.
The joint team on Thursday held health camps in ward number 12 and 21 and appealed to the residents to remain alert about their health and to use pure drinking water. More number of health health camps were held in the city on Friday.
