The Raipur district administration on Monday took the initiative to shift liquor shops at Telibandha following an assurance given by Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel.
On August 19, people urged Baghel to shift all the liquor shops of Telibandha to any other place.
The Chief Minister asked Raipur Collector Dr Sarveshwar Bhure to move the shops.
On Monday, the Deputy Commissioner of Excise in Raipur said the premium foreign liquor and foreign liquor shops operating near Krishna Kunj in Telibandha will be shifted.
Four more foreign liquor shops, one country liquor shop, two composite liquor shops and two other premium foreign liquor shops in Raipur district will also be shifted.
