The Vivekananda Technical University has doubled the evaluation fee and hiked other charges, a move students and parents claimed is likely to put financial pressure on them.
The students will also have to pay more for re-valuation, duplicate mark-sheet, and duplicate admission card, university sources said on Tuesday. The Raj Bhavan has also approved the decision, official sources said.
At least 50 colleges operate under the Technical University. The fee hike will also impact the fee structure of all these colleges.large numbers of students seek re-valuation of their examination papers after the declaration of their results. Earlier for revaluation of one subject, a student had to pay Rs 200 Now it has been doubled to Rs 400.
Similarly a student has to pay a fee of Rs 10, 000 for PhD registration, Rs 15,000 for D.litt, Rs 10,000 for thesis submission, and Rs 20,000 Phd thesis submission.Similarly the university has hiked the examination fee. Regular students will have to pay a fee of Rs 752 for BE, B-pharma examination. Similarly student seeking transfer of examination centre needs to pay a fee of Rs 500 against Rs 100 stipulated earlier.
Similarly for duplicate admit card and duplicate mark sheet a student now needs to pay a fee of Rs 50 and Rs 100 respectively.To obtain a sample answer paper a student has to pay Rs 400 and model answer papers Rs from the existing Rs 250 and Rs 550 respectively.
