Chhattisgarh government on Monday extended the validity of the list issued by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (VYAPAM) for recruitment of 14,580 posts (teachers) in the school education department for another six months.
The state government on September 1, 2020 had extended the validity of the result list by a year. As the matter is sub-judice before the High Court of Chhattisgarh, the validity has been extended by six months, an official statement informed.
Directorate of Public Instruction, Government of Chhattisgarh had issued an advertisement for direct recruitment on 14,580 posts (teachers) on March 9, 2019. The clause of the recruitment advertisement stated that the result list declared by the ‘Vyapam’ will be valid for a year from the date of issue of result.
The Covid-19 pandemic derailed the recruitment process. Keeping in mind the pandemic situation and hindrance in recruitment, the state government on September 1, 2020 had extended the validity for a year. It has now been extended for another six months.
