Teachers’ in forefront to adopt innovative modes: Baghel

Teachers have been in the forefront for continuing education among the children even during the Covid-19-induced lockdown, teaching students even in remote areas, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Sunday.

He was addressing a felicitation programme organized by the Chhattisgarh Teachers Association (Bastar Division) in Jagdalpur to thank Baghel for restoring the old pension scheme. The teachers weighed the Chief Minister with ‘laddoo’.

The Chief Minister said that during Covid-19, teachers ensured the education of children by adopting innovative modes like ‘Bultu ke bol’ and ‘Padhai tuhar dwar’ among others. It reflected the dedication of teachers.

It is the reason that in the current academic year, around 80,000 students took admission in government schools. It reflects that parents have restored their faith in government education as teachers are ensuring quality.

So, it was the right of all the teachers, including other government staff, to seek the old pension scheme. He said there was now an inflow of energy as the teachers' old-age has been secured.
