Chhattisgarh Police on Monday arrested a 38-year-old teacher of a gurukul for molesting students in Mahasamund district.
Mahasamund Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel identified him as Acharya Komal Vaishnav of Arsh Jyoti Gurukul Ashram in Kosrangi village.
The teacher allegedly molested the minors by calling them inside his room seeking massage and then threatened them with dire consequences.
Whenever the boys spoke to their family on the telephone, Vaishnav would be with them so that they did not reveal their ordeal.
The incident came to light when some boys shared their torture with a relative over telephone a few days ago, leading to a police complaint.
The teacher was nabbed under the Indian Penal Code and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
