Chief Minister Raman Singh informed Chhattisgarh Assembly on Tuesday that the State has targetted to install 52,000 solar powered irrigation pumps during financial
years 2016-17, 2017-18 and 2018-19.
In a written reply to Congress member Dhanendra Sahu, the Chief Minister informed that the State has targetted to install 20,000 pumps each during 2017-18 and 2018-19.
As per the data released in the written reply, the maximum number of solar irrigation pumps had been installed in Rajnandgaon district at 750 followed by
Gariaband at 700 and Kabirdham and Jashpur districts each at 650 during 2016-17.
