The Chhattisgarh Health Department has set a target of doing 8,401 RTPCR tests per day, the government said on Friday. According to the department, 28 samples will be tested on every 1 lakh population in the state, a press release said. The new goals are set to cover the 2.75 crore population of the state. Daily 8,401 RTPCR tests will be conducted, it added. The department has also segregated the population district wise and set the target for examination of collected samples every day.
Following the guidelines for the 9.03 lakh population of Surguja, 253 Covid RTPCR tests will be done daily.
Similarly, Raigarh (population 17 lakh) will see 487 tests and Korba (population 13.27 lakh) 372 tests in a day.
