Collector Rajat Kumar, at a meeting of Mines Task Force Committee, has directed to take stern action against the private and public sector industrial units who have not submitted information related royalty on the (gaun) minor minerals used in the constructions by the Mining department.
In the meeting, discussions were held on the action against illegal transportation of sand from Retghat, vehicle parking at minerals checkpost, coal transportation without tarpaulin cover and other points.
On the illegal mining and transportation issue, the collector instructed to conduct raids after constituting a joint team of revenue, forest, mining and police officers. Discussion was held with the Janpad CEO regarding environmental permission for running sand mines, along with preparing list of Retghats of areas concerned.
Superintendent of Police Rl Dangi said about systematic parking arrangement at minerals check posts, so that traffic on the roads may not affected.
Mining officer MK Mishra, additional SP lal Umend Singh, SDM, environment officer, transport officer and representatives of industries were present at the meeting.
