Health Minister TS Singhdeo presided over a marathon meeting of health department on Sunday with senior officials and asked them to take the better quality health facility to every citizen and in every locality.
He instructed the officials of his department to speed up the execution process of key schemes of state government’s health department.
He suggested that Food and Drugs department must keep conducting inspection of medical stores.
Health department secretary Niharika Barik Singh briefed the Health Minister in details about various ongoing projects of his department at the review meeting.
Health Minister asked the officials to ensure the Congress election manifesto regarding health facilities must be implemented.
He insisted that facilities at district hospitals should be improved significantly.
He also said that sickle cell disease patients need to be treated at community health centres.
Congress legislator from Raipur-North Kuldeep Juneja, Manendragarh legislator Dr. Vinay Jaiswal, Lundra seat legislator Preetam Ram, Ambikapur mayor Ajay Tirki, Health Commissioner R Prashanna and Health department joint secretary Priyanka Shukla were present in the review meeting.
