Sword of transfer hanging on Taran Prakash Sinha, Dugge

Published on:

Transfer of Commissioner of Raipur Municipal Corporation Taran Prakash Sinha and his Rajnandgaon counterpart Narendra Dugge seemed imminent, thanks to the election commission’s directive to shift officials who are sitting at one place for more than three years.

Transfer letters of some civic body heads are likely to be issued in a day or two. Taran Sinha, a state service cadre, is posted in Urban Administration Department on deputation. He did not complete three years on the post of RMC Commissioner and therefore the State Government had sought advice from the State Election Commission for his transfer.

According to the Election Commission, though Sinha did not complete three years tenure in Raipur Municipal Corporation, he is posted in Raipur for more than three years and therefore he needs to go.

Notably, before his appointment as Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Sinha was serving as sub divisional officer in Raipur for a long time and has completed more than three years in Raipur.

likewise, Rajnandgaon Municipal Corporation Commissioner Narendra Dugge too has completed more than three years tenure at same place, Prior to his appointment as Municipal Corporation commissioner, Dugge was posted as

Chief Executive Officer of Rajnandgaon District Panchayat. There are chances that transfer orders of both the officials would be released together in a day or two.
