The ‘Swayam Siddh Samman’ conferred by JSPl Foundation not only brought in focus some hidden talents to fore but also some struggle stories, inspiring in true sense.

Chanchala Patel, who had lost one of her limbs in an accident during childhood, was provided with a hi-tech artificial limb by the JSPl Foundation. After completing basic computer training she is now engaged as full time special educator at ‘Asha - the Hope’ centre run by JSPl Foundation for differently abled children. Recalling her childhood days she says after losing her leg it was difficult to continue studies.

“The school was far away and reaching school on crutches was a difficult task. However it was JSPl which provided me with artificial limb and helped me to complete my studies,” she said, adding that ‘Asha - the Hope’ centre is helping differently abled persons to live their lives in a better way.

Yadu Kumar Sahu hailing from Telitola village of Naxal infested Rajnandgaon district said that it was a matter of pride that person like him who has education up to class 8th only is being honoured. Yadu father of three children recalls that he used to work as ordinary labourer and in spare time used to make paintings.

“In January 2014, I came in contact with officials of JSPl foundation who then supported me for pursuing painting works. This way I began to create painting and idols of different deities in turn increasing my income,” he said. Mamta Seth a mason was trained in JSPl foundation. Initially a house wife, she had joined OPJCC’s mason course to support her family as her husband’s income was not enough. “After a mishap my husband got his leg fractured and I had to work to support my family. JSPl’s mason course helped me to find good earning. Currently I am helping my three children to complete their studies,” she said.
