Adopting ‘Swadeshi’ products can once again make India ‘World leader’, expressed Agriculture Minister Brijmohan Agrawal while addressing the concluding ceremony of Swadeshi Mela held here at the Police Parade Ground.

“It is the duty of every Indian to embrace ‘Swadeshi’ articles and should shun the love of foreign-made goods. ‘If we purchase items made in China or Malaysia, then those nations are benefitted; however, purchasing Indian made goods brings profit for our nation,” the Minister remarked.

He further said that accepting ‘Swadeshi’ would strengthen our economy. Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said the it is effect of strong leadership that the United States of America gave a grand welcome to our Prime Minister.

Agrawal said: ‘Our ancient tradition had complete ‘Swadeshi’ culture. We did not import anything from other place. People living in the villages used to meet the local needs by producing various goods locally.

In this way, everyone was in profit. The unemployment in country can be eradicated through use of ‘Swadeshi’ goods, he opined.

The Minister further appealed to adopt bio-farming as crops produced through this technique has huge demand in national-international market.  ‘Bio farming also helps maintain the fertility of soil’, he remarked.
