As part of the Clean India Drive spreading awareness among the denizens, the State government is organizing ‘Swachhta Fortnight’ at the historical sites in the urban areas from April 16 to 30.
The State Urban Development Agency (SUDA) has asked all the civic authorities to follow the directions of the Union Ministry of Urban Development regarding the fortnight and conduct activities under the programme.
Officials stated during the programme that students will be visiting the historical sites. Moreover, people marking a unique recognition towards cleanliness will be felicitated on this occasion.
SUDA officials said that logo and slogans of Clean India Drive will be published on the entry tickets of these historical sites. The civic authorities have been instructed to promote the fortnight events with the support of the local media.
Each civic body will receive one mark for print media coverage and three marks for electronic media coverage. The points will be added in the next phase evaluation of the Swachhta survey.
