Swabhiman Manch to encash BJP, Cong rebels fury

Published on:

Chhattisgarhgarh Swabhiman Manch does not have aversion in joining hands with the rebels of Congress and Bharatiya Janata Party and it would readily oblige them with party tickets for the ensuing Assembly polls, of course, if they are native of Chhattisgarh.

Not only Chhattisgarh Swabhiman Manch but other constituents of Third Front are also keeping their eyes on the powerful rebels and this is why the Manch has decided to announce its list of candidates only after the two major contenders finalise their candidates.

Notably, Chhattisgarh Swabhiman Manch, along with seven other constituents of the Joint Front, has not only emerged as a powerful alternative but is also in the process of presenting stiff resistance to the main contenders of power in the State.

The Front is continuously making preparations for the Assembly polls and even finalising candidates for the same. Till now, the Front has finalised 45 candidates out of which 27 are of Swabhiman Manch and the rest are of other constituents of the Front. In the meeting slated for August 28, the Joint Front will finalised almost all candidates after which they would start poll preparations as per their own strategy.

According to spokesman of the Joint Front Ram Kumar Gupta, in August 28 meeting some more candidate of Swabhiman Manch would be finalised. Among other constituents, on 6 seats agreements have been reached on 6 seats with Communist Party of India while proposal to give them some more seats is also under consideration. Gondwana Gantantra Party has finalised 3 seats while on some more seats negotiations are on. National Peoples Party has finalised 7 seats and some 6-7 more seats will be given to them. Janata Dal (United) is also showing interest to fight poll in Chhattisgarh and can be awarded 1-2 seats.

likewise, Chhattisgarh Mukti Morcha had asked for one seat and they were given Dondi lohara seat. loktantrik Samajwadi Party wants to contest on 6 seats but for the while they have been given one seat, while on 2-3 seats talks were on. Samajwadi Party also wants to contest 5 seats but it would be given 1 or two seats.

The Front leaders claimed their strong position in at least 15-20 seats where they are in winning position. These seats include Dharsiwa and Raipur Rural seats in Raipur district, Nawagarh, Ahiwara, Durg Shahar, Durg Rural, Patan and Gunderdehi in Durg division, Kanker and Bhanupratappur in Kanker district, Takhatpur and Bilha seats in Bilaspur district. According spokesman Gupta, the Joint Front is also hopeful of winning Tanakhar, Dondi lohara and Konta seats as Tribal heavyweights Hiralal Markam, Janak Thakur and Manish Kunjam have been nominated for these seats respectively.

last time about a dozen MlAs were denied tickets by BJP and this time too some of them will be shown the door and Manch as well as

constituents of the Joint Front will have their eyes on these leaders, but only after considering their winning possibility and of course if they belonged to Chhattisgarh.
