Suspected Naxals killed two villagers after branding them as police informers in insurgency-hit Narayanpur district, a senior police officer said on Sunday.The incident occurred in Chotefarsa village falling under the limits of Farasgaon police station, Superintendent of Police (SP), Narayanpur, Amit Kamble said. Bodies of two persons identified as Ramlal and Manter were found near the Chotefarsa village on Sunday. A group of armed Naxals had attacked their houses few days back and had taken away for questioning them, he said.
They were killed on Saturday, the SP said, adding, we are getting reports that Naxals had called a Jan Adalat before killing them; however it is yet to be confirmed. After being informed about the incident, police rushed to the spot and sent the body for post mortem after undertaking crime scene investigation, Kamble, said. A case in this connection has been also registered, he informed.
