The surrendered insurgents in Manpur Tehsil of the district have taken to developing a host of creative crafts items after being trained by the Chhattisgarh Handicrafts Development Board.
The Manpur Tehsil is the most insurgency infested region of Rajnandgaon district.However, during the past five years, around 23 men and women have surrendered in the region.The surrendered insurgents are now being trained in the State Government’s Bamboo Craft Training Centre who learn to manufacture tables, paper stand besides a host of other creative craft items.
