Chief Minister Raman Singh on Wednesday said that the State Government will provide city bus service to medium and small cities along with Raipur and therefore 451 city buses have been approved for 70 such cities.
Ambikapur will get 35 city buses which will facilitate the people and students of the city as well as adjoining areas like Vishrampur, Bhatgaon, Rajpur, Mainpat and Sitapur, he said, while addressing a rally at Ambikapur on Wednesday.The Chief Minister also gave approval for construction of 10 km bye-pass road and drinking water storage scheme at district headquarters.
Singh, on the occasion, also laid foundation, performed bhumi pujan and dedicated 76 construction works worth Rs107 crores in various development blocks of the Surguja district.He said that with cooperation of people and government schemes, Surguja will soon be developed as a leading district of the State and Ambikapur will be developed as a Smart City.
SThe Chief Minister highlighted the Skill Development cheme, livelihood College, financial assistance to poor families on birth of girl child, Quality Year for Education, interest-free loan for farmers, health schemes and Mukhyamantri Bal Hriday Yojna.Singh also inaugurated the first high-tech police station building of the State in Ambikapur which will accept online FIR. The high-tech police station building has been constructed by Police Housing Board for Rs 2 crore.
He said that 75 high-tech police station buildings are being constructed across the State. The Chief Minister also distributed cheques to 1300 beneficiaries of various government schemes.Health and Urban Administration Minister Amar Agarwal, MP Kamalbhan Singh, Mayor Prabodh Minj and other public representatives also expressed their views on the occasion.
BJP State president Dharamlal Kaushik, former chairman of State Handicrafts Development Corporation Major Anil Singh, Chairman of Municipal Corporation Trilok Kushwaha, MlA Rajni Tripathi, Surguja Divisional Commissioner TC Mahawar, other senior officers were present on the occasion.
