Team Sunrisers Hyderabad is expecting an ‘all blazing guns’ contest from the rival Delhi Daredevils during the IPl match scheduled on Friday at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh (SVNS) International Cricket Stadium here.
Notably, the stadium is the home ground of Delhi Daredevils which has not been able to secure its place in play offs and Friday’s game will be a do-or-die situation for the team. With 12 points from 12 games they are in desperate need to clinch the next match from Hyderabad for getting tickets to play offs.
On the other hand Sunrisers Hyderabad has already secured it berth in play offs by trouncing Kings XI Punjab by 7 wickets earlier at Rajkot.
“Delhi is a very good and competitive side with very dynamic players amongst them. We are expecting all guns blazing regardless of do-or-die situation or not. We need to find our best cricket to secure winning point,” Tom Moody, the coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad, told reporters during a pre-match Press conference at the stadium.
According to the coach, Hyderabad has got all options in bowling including spin and pace both. We will continue our momentum. There are lot of unfinished business for us, he remarked.
Replying to a query about playing conditions at the stadium, he said the team had played earlier on the ground last year.
“This is a beautiful playing ground. The wicket looks to be a good cricketing surface and also it is a big ground so the players need to adopt and play. We have experience of before we are going tomorrow with lots of confidence,” he added.
