Under the aegis of Sports and Youth Welfare department, a month-long summer training camp is being conducted for the children aging 10 to 19 years here at Charaidand Government Higher Secondary School. The children are being imparted necessary training about different sports. Recently, the children were given exposure to hockey, athletic, shot-put and javelin throw in the presence of school principal Kurious Toppo and PTI Gregori Tirkey.
The training camp will continue till May 30. This will boost-up the morale of the children for taking part in sports activities apart from academics. The training is imparted by specialists and sports experts for preparing them for different levels of the tournament. The timing of the training is 5:30 am to 7:30 am and 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
