Students from different schools of Bastar district would showcase their boxing talent during the three-day State level school sports meet to be held in Pendra from November 14 to 16.
The students will represent Bastar Zone in the kick-boxing championship to be organised during the meet.
Naresh Nishad of Bakawand, Jinath Bhandari of Narainpur, Samnath Bhaskar and Aneesh and Manoj of Dantewada have been selected for the team of under-17 boys category of the championship.
Similarly, in under-19 boys category, Roshan Tekam, Vikas Chaurasia of Kanker and Niket Bhagat and Virendra
Rathore of Dantewada have been selected.
In girls category, Tikeshwari Uike and Pooja Thakur were selected for the State-level event.
Secretary, Bastar Kick Boxing Association,Sarjeet Singh Bakshi, Dantewada Government Higher Secondary School, Physical Training Instructor M Yadav, Bakawand Primary School Assistant Teacher laxminarayan Kashyap and others were the judges of the division level selection trial matches.
