Students of Career Public School took out an awareness rally against rising pollution under the ‘Green Korba Cluster’ programme. A large number of schoolchildren participated in the rally holding placards in their hands stating messages of various types, causes, and fallouts of pollution. The rally commenced from Sharda Vihar Korba and culminated at Subhas chowk Kosabadi, covering various prime localities of Korba city.
The children made significant efforts to bring awareness among people about pollution in Korba district, which is home to several thermal power plants, SECl coal mines and BAlCO plant. While addressing the gathering, Principal R Dutta expressed her views on alarming rise in pollution level in Korba, but she appreciated the efforts of the management of the Career Public School in making a documentary film ‘Green Korba Cluster’ as an effective contribution in making ‘Korba Green and Clean’, which was played for the students in the school campus.
She stated that there are various types of pollution like air, water, land, noise, etc and each has a dangerous affect on the atmosphere. She also motivated the students to pledge to fight against the problem and spread the message of clean environment to all the friends and family.
