The ayurvedic-doctor-turned politician Singh who is ruling the state since Dec 2003, observed, “In a 6,000 km-plus Vikas Yatra which I concluded last month and visited all the 27 districts, people have shown tremendous faith in my Government and I will continue to strive for more and more development and infrastructure build up if people allow me for the third term,’’.

The 61-year-old politician Singh informed that BJP has been in final process of announcing party candidates for all the 90 seats that include 10 seats reserved for Scheduled Caste and 29 seats reserved for Scheduled Tribe.

He also hoped that election process would be free and fair and peaceful and the election in both the phases would record a massive voters’ turnout.

In the first phase, 18 seats mostly the leftist insurgency-hit constituencies will go polls while remaining 72 seats in the second and the final phase.
