State Congress working president Charandas Mahant who met President Pranab Mukherjee along with late Congress leader’s family stated that the issue of security cover for the family was also raised with the President to which he assured all assistance.
Prior to meeting the President, family of late Mahendra Karma met UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi. The slain leader’s family members stated during the meeting that they are continuing to receive threats from the Maoists and the State Government is yet to provide them sufficient security cover.
