The Chhattisgarh State Power Distribution Company limited (CSPDCl) has started short message service (SMS) to facilitate the consumers regarding electricity bills, payments, complaints and disposal of complaints.
The new service started for the first time in the State will facilitate the consumers of various categories, officials said. The officials said that to avail the benefit of the SMS service, the consumers will have to use their registered mobile number. They need to send a short code for different services on the number 56161.
To know about the service, the consumer will have to type CSPDCl PUll and send the SMS to 56161. The short codes for other services are CSPDCl BIll <BP No>, CSPDCl PAY <BP NO>, CSPDCl DUE <BP NO>, CSPDCl REG <BP NO>, CSPDCl FOC <BP NO> and CSPDCl HElP.
The company has also started a Centralised Call Centre with telephone number 1912 for complaints and other information related to electricity. The consumer can register his complaint on this number anytime from any place. The free service is open round-the-clock and is available in Hindi, English and Chhattisgarhi language, they added.
