Under various sections of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, and directives of Election Commission of India for conduct of Lok Sabha Polls 2019, the state government designated all the police officers, will be considered as on deputation of ECI since the notification for polls till the declaration of result.
Deputy secretary of the home department issued a notification in this regard.
The notification states that all the police officers during the period will be under control, subordinate and discipline of the Election Commission Earlier, all the state government employees deputed for election process were brought under the control of the commission.
