The Chhattisgarh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) through its party workers will organize individual programmes to mark the birth anniversary of Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on April 14, a top BJP leader said.
The state BJP leadership on Monday urged its party workers to follow the lockdown and social distancing norms while organizing the event.
State BJP president Vikram Usendi in an appeal to party workers, said that all of them will offer floral tributes to the portrait of Dr Ambedkar at their own residences and then upload the pictures of the celebrations on social media platforms.
Throwing light on life of Dr Ambedkar, the state party president will issue an audio-video message, the BJP state party chief said.
Usendi further said that each division (mandal) unit will identify a slum and distribute food and home-made masks.
“Each worker will start a drive--'meri basti, corona mukth basti’ (corona-free settlement) and similarly, people will be asked for write-ups on social unity, a compilation of the essays will be published.”
The BJP state president in the appeal also asked the party workers to take an oath on the party’s constitution.
The workers should spread the message of good work being done by Central and BJP ruled states for social equality, he said.
“To do this, they can use the social media platforms.”
Party workers should read the biography, books and thoughts of Dr Ambedkar and through audio message spread it among the people to motivate them, Usendi said.
Usendi further said that in all the programmes, the party workers individually have to ensure that lockdown and social distance protocol should be followed.
