Apart from production of vermi-compost, each Gauthan in Chhattisgarh should have at least five income-oriented activities, Subrat Sahoo, the Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister, said on Thursday.
He was interacting with members of women self-help groups of Khokhra Gauthan in Akaltara block in Janjgir-Champa district.
Accompanied by Special Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr S. Bharati Dasan, the officials inspected Gauthans of Taraud, Amora, Kirari of Nawagarh blocks, an official communication said.
Finding irregularities in maintenance of fodder (hay) for the livestock and construction works at Taraud Gauthan, Sahoo called for issuing show cause notice to the Chief Executive Officer Janpad Panchayat, Akaltara.
