Stage set for KBC, Amitabh Bachchan to arrive today

Stage is all set at the Balbeer Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium for single-day shooting of the Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) to be held here on Saturday (September 27). The security of the stadium has been stepped up for the programme hosted by Bollywood mega star Amitabh Bachchan. This is the second time that KBC is being shot out of Mumbai. Previously, the KBC was shot in Surat from where the entire set was transported to Raipur. It took more than a week to complete installation of the set.

The dance troupe from Mumbai also practiced at the stadium after completion of the installation of the set. The audition for the participants had been completed and they have been issued passes by the organizers. The participants have been instructed to enter the stadium between 3 to 4 pm.

The security personnel have been deployed in and around the stadium and traffic restrictions have also been laid around the stadium. The route leading to Sheetla Mata temple and Mahamaya temple from near the stadium has been diverted. This has been however opposed by the residents of Budhapara and Purani Basti. People said that they have to visit the temples during Navratri. With traffic restrictions, they will face inconvenience. The officers however said that there are alternate routes available for the people to reach the temples. Meanwhile, sources said that Amitabh Bachchan will come by a chartered plane and three special cars are being transported from Mumbai. Proper security arrangements have been made at the hotel for his stay.
